With increasing economic demands, ever more restrictive legislation and environmental concerns, our farmers are facing uncertain times. From producing too much slurry with too few opportunities to spread it, to the costs of water for livestock or irrigation, there are mounting pressures on the industry. SEM has designed a series of solutions we believe can help the farmer, the countryside and the economy as a whole.
SEM has developed a method of cleaning, purifying and returning water from farm operations. It can be re-used in wash down, feeding & watering livestock, irrigation or even returning to the natural and municipal water courses at better than EPA standards.
Agricultural Waste Water
More than 600 gallons of water are required to produce a dozen eggs, and 1200 gallons of water are needed to produce 1kg of butter. We will reduce the amount of fresh water required by the farmers for these processes. By doing so we will cut production costs and create a positive environmental impact.

Greater Government investment in manure storage is a key component of a post-Brexit plan for farming put forward by a powerful lobbying group. However, we have developed a new system for manure management which could reduce the overall spend rather than increase it.
